Conclusion
I feel a need to tie up all the loose ends of what I have previously stated. Humans are immoral, greedy, and violent. Its a sad but true fact. There is still some hope of good people still being out there though. When humans go against their nature, they can be less immoral, greedy and violent. That's why its now my goal to help the world accept how terrible we really are, in hope that we can try to change. I still don't trust humanity, and doubt that I ever will be able to, but if the rest of the world could wake up and admit how messed up humanity is, I would at least get the satisfaction of being right.
The three understandings
The Three understandings are:
1."Philosophies of leadership are determined by beliefs about human nature."
2."The governed have a responsibility for their governance."
3."Human Nature does not determine our actions,: it inclines us towards us towards certain actions."
The first understanding means that what an individual believes about human nature influences their view on leadership. If they think that all humans are moral (like Locke), then their philosophy on leadership will probably be one with a society in which a leader can rule with justice and equality. Likewise, if you agree with me and think that humans are immoral and selfish, then your view on leadership will probably be that a leader needs to who can ...
The second understanding means that the ruled have a responsibility for their ruler. They have the power to change

The ending to Lord of the Flies is extremely inaccurate. Realistically, if the boys had become that uncivilized, honestly they were about to kill Ralph, the second an adult appeared on the island they wouldn't just "magically remember their morals". I think it would be a more appropriate ending if either the navy man didn't show up, or when he did show up Jack had the boys hunt him as well, eliminating any hope of rescue. If option one occurred, it would result in Ralph's death which would signify that the two different "governments" cannot coexist. If option two was to happen it would exemplify how Jack would do anything to stay in power even if it meant not getting rescued.
Humans are naturally only concerned with themselves and their own survival.

Hello, as you probably already know, I am Thomas Hobbes and this is my blog. I have created it so you all can be informed of the true nature of humanity. To put it simply, all humans are immoral and selfish. We are born with just the right to live, and the only way humans are capable of protecting their lives is through violence and slaughter. If we could put 10 people on an island with no rules, customs, or systems, fear would be their only motivation, and they would be driven to hostility against each other. The only way this can be prevented is with a leader with absolute power. If we now added another man to rule over the first 10, those original 10 can now join together as one community under that ruler instead of it being every man for himself. They can now attend to their other needs, because instead of fearing that one of the other 9 is out to get them they would only need to have fear for that one ruler.
Evidence of this is everywhere you look in society.
